So much to do so little time!

  • Apr. 11th, 2008 at 10:40 PM

Well, I haven't had a lot of time to journal...the City Council keeps me on my toes. I feel a little guilty because I haven't been able to spend a lot of time with Sally or the kids....I just have so much to do! After Horton helped us Who's my paper work has been trippled!! So many things to sign off on, not to mention all the science books and documents about Who that have to be amended that I have to look over and approve! Whew!

Anywho, Ms. Yelp keeps me organized and on time..well for the most part....I can't help that I get a little side tracked by things..people...objects..anyway. I have a appointment today to see the society of natural Who-Science to discuss a change to the solar system wing of the Whoville Science Muesem! So off I go before Ms. Yelp decideds to 'collect' me...OH! I need to get more food for Fivwick....poor guy..almost out of food...*coughs* sorry..got side tracked...what was I...Oh yes the meeting...well, gotta run!

My very first entry!

  • Mar. 28th, 2008 at 5:16 PM

Well, this is it! My very first entry to this journal! Sally says I need to keep a journal because she says I am overworked and stressed, and by keeping this journal I can get the stress of my job out on paper and feel more rested. I do feel rested, and yes I know my job is a big one, being Mayor and all, but I like my job, love it really. It's not about the power or anything, it's about the feeling of knowing I protect and look out for my fellow Whos. That I made a difference and maybe eve made a difference on Who.

Since I was a young who-lad, all I wanted was to be the Mayor. My father was the Mayor, and his father before him and son on. I used to walk down the hall of The Greats in our house, a hallway where hags the pictures of all of Whovilles great Mayors of the past. His portrait is there now, and someday, my dream is to have my own picture right there beside him! Sally says she knows I will make it, and hearing that makes me feel ten feet tall! She's the best my wife, always kind and compassionate. She understands a goofball like me, and to me that means more then words alone could express. Plus she almost single handed-ly is raising our 97 children! I mean..not that I don't try to help out when I can, but being the Mayor....I get so busy, sometimes it bothers me that I can't  spend as much time as other fathers do with their families, Sally says that the kids understand, but I sometimes truly wish they didn't  have to.

I guess There's not a lot I can do about it right now...maybe the counsel can give me a day off soon, just one would be nice. Mrs. Yelp is here now about a meeting so I'd best be going, I guess this is it until next time...um..how do you end a journal entry anyway? Sally never really told me and, uh oh Mrs. Yelp is getting that annoyed look that means I may be in immediate danger.....so um...bye.
